Qualification – B.Tech/ Diploma – Electrical
Experience- Min. 2 to 10 yrs. in electrical industry with complete knowledge of LV Switchboard, LT Panels , LV Switchgear, PCC Panels , MCC Panels, VFD Panels, APFC Panels, PLC Panels etc.

The *Costing & Estimation Engineer* is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations, and techno-commercial proposals for electrical panel projects, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability. They work closely with the sales, design, and production teams to understand client requirements, optimize designs for cost efficiency, and support the business in winning projects.
*1. Tendering & Estimation*
* Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for LV panels and switchgear projects.
* Identify scope of work, technical requirements, and exclusions.
* Prepare *detailed cost estimates* including material, labor, overheads, and margins.
* Select suitable components (switchgear, busbars, meters, relays, etc.) from reputed brands (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, L\&T, etc.).
* Ensure compliance with IEC, IS standards, and customer specifications.

*2. Cost Analysis & Pricing*
* Determine the most cost-effective design without compromising quality or compliance.
* Negotiate prices with suppliers and vendors to get competitive rates.
* Maintain an updated database of material costs and vendor lists.
* Prepare *cost break-up sheets* for management approval.
*3. Proposal & Documentation*
* Prepare techno-commercial offers, quotations, and BOQ.
* Provide *technical datasheets* and GA drawings support if required.
* Submit timely tender proposals within deadlines.
* Support sales team with technical clarifications during bidding stage.
*4. Coordination & Communication*
* Coordinate with *design engineers* for panel layouts and component selection.
* Work with *procurement* for cost verification and supplier lead times.
* Liaise with *production* to validate feasibility and manufacturing costs.
* Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings with clients.
– *5. Project Handover*
* After order finalization, hand over complete project costing and specifications to the project execution team.
* Support in any change orders or variation claims during execution.
– *6. Continuous Improvement*
* Monitor actual project costs vs. estimated costs and analyze variances.
* Recommend design or process changes to reduce costs in future projects.
* Keep updated with market trends in switchgear pricing and new component technology.
