ARC Furnace Melter
We are looking for a skilled ARC Furnace Melter to operate and manage electric arc furnace (EAF) operations for melting scrap and producing high-quality molten steel. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient melting, maintaining temperature control, and achieving production and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the ARC furnace during melting cycles.
- Maintain furnace temperature and material charge as per production schedule.
- Follow all plant safety protocols during melting and tapping.
- Coordinate with shift supervisors on output targets.
- Perform routine furnace maintenance checks.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong safety awareness and discipline on the shop floor.
- Comfort working rotational shifts in production environments.
- Quick, practical problem-solving under production pressure.
- Reliable coordination with supervisors and machine operators.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in furnace / melting shop operations.
- ITI or diploma in metallurgy, mechanical or related trade preferred.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts.
- Physically fit for shop-floor conditions.
