Job Description –
Develop detailed product designs based on customer requirements, taking into account functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturing feasibility.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D models of sheet metal components and assemblies.
Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and manufacturability, ensuring that the final product meets performance requirements while minimizing material waste and production time.
Perform tolerance analysis to ensure that sheet metal components can be manufactured within specified tolerances and that they will fit together correctly during assembly.
