Job Description
You are responsible for setting up VMC machines for production runs. This involves loading raw materials, securing workpieces in the machine’s vise or fixtures, and setting cutting tools in tool holders.
You load and execute CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs into the VMC machine’s control unit. These programs contain instructions for machining operations such as drilling, milling, tapping, and contouring.
You select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and tool holders based on machining requirements, material properties, and part geometry. You install and adjust tools in the machine’s spindle to ensure proper cutting performance.
