Job Responsibilities
Practical knowledge about Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Protractor, Sheet Metal Gauge, Scribers etc.
Assist in design, development, and fabrication of sheet metal components.
Work with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for 2D/3D modeling and drafting.
Support production teams in tooling, fixture design, and process improvement.
Learn and implement sheet metal forming, bending, cutting, and welding processes.
Assist in quality inspection of sheet metal parts using gauges and measuring instruments.
Coordinate with senior engineers for new product development (NPD).
Maintain documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and process sheets.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards on the shop floor.
Learn Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S practices for continuous improvement.
