Overview
Account Executive
We are looking for a detail-oriented Account Executive to manage day-to-day accounting and financial activities within a metal recycling organization. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, handling payables and receivables, reconciliations, documentation, and supporting statutory compliance and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Record purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, and payment transactions.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Perform bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and conduct regular follow-ups.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Prepare periodic accounting and MIS reports.
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, banks, auditors, and internal departments.
- Assist in monthly and annual account closing activities.
- Support audit requirements and provide necessary financial documents.
- Maintain accurate inventory-related accounting records.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and assist in resolving them.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Good understanding of GST and TDS.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience with Tally/ERP/accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounting activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential financial information.
Requirements
- B.Com/M.Com or equivalent qualification in Commerce/Accounting/Finance.
- Relevant experience in accounts and finance.
- Experience in manufacturing, metal, steel, scrap, or metal recycling industry will be preferred.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, receivables, and payables.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software/ERP.
- Good command of MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently and meet accounting deadlines.
