📌 Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled ARC Furnace Melter to operate and manage electric arc furnace (EAF) operations for melting scrap and producing high-quality molten steel. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient melting, maintaining temperature control, and achieving production and quality targets.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) for steel melting.
Charge raw materials such as scrap, sponge iron (DRI), alloys, and fluxes.
Control furnace parameters including temperature, power input, and melting time.
Ensure proper slag formation and refining process.
Tap molten metal safely and efficiently.
Monitor and maintain chemical composition as per grade requirements.
Coordinate with ladle furnace and casting teams for smooth operations.
Identify process deviations and take corrective actions.
Maintain production logs and reports.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of EAF melting process
Understanding of steel grades and metallurgy basics
Ability to control furnace parameters and optimize melting
Awareness of safety practices in high-temperature environments
Problem-solving and quick decision-making skills
