Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Administration will be responsible for managing end-to-end administrative functions at the manufacturing plant/office. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations related to facilities, security, housekeeping, vendor management, and statutory compliance, supporting uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Facility Management
Oversee plant and office administration, including housekeeping, security, canteen, transport, and utilities.
Ensure proper maintenance of buildings, equipment, furniture, and infrastructure.
Manage facility services, AMCs, and statutory licenses related to administration.
Coordinate with internal departments for admin-related requirements.
Vendor & Contract Management
Identify, negotiate, and manage administrative vendors (security, housekeeping, canteen, transport, etc.).
Monitor vendor performance and ensure service-level compliance.
Control administrative costs and manage admin budgets effectively.
Statutory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Factory Act, safety norms, fire & environmental requirements.
Coordinate with government authorities for inspections, licenses, and renewals.
Maintain records and documentation for audits and compliance checks.
Security & Safety
Implement and monitor security systems and access control.
Support EHS and safety initiatives in coordination with the safety team.
Handle emergency preparedness and crisis management activities.
General Administration
Manage travel, accommodation, and logistics for employees and visitors.
Handle asset management, inventory control, and office supplies.
Prepare MIS reports related to admin operations.
Key Skills
Strong knowledge of plant administration and facility management
Vendor management and negotiation skills
Proficiency in MS Office and MIS reporting
