    Power Plant Industry

    Profile – Control Room Incharge (Power Plant)

    Qualification – B.Tech-Mechanical

    Salary – Upto 5 LAC ( including food + accommodation)

    Experience – Min. 5+yrs. as a Control Room Incharge in Power Plant, metal, foundry, casting industry.

    Location – Sesa (Goa)

    Role & responsibilities

    Monitor and control various processes, including the operation of boilers, turbines, generators, and other critical equipment, to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
    Analyze real-time data, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and power output, to ensure that the plant is operating within safe and efficient parameters.
    Supervise the operation of control systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and other automation tools to regulate the plant’s operations.
    Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as equipment malfunctions, safety issues, and system failures. Initiate appropriate emergency procedures and coordinate responses.
    Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed, and maintain awareness of potential safety hazards in the control room and the plant as a whole.
    Communicate effectively with other operators, technicians, and staff in the control room, as well as with personnel in other areas of the plant. Relay important information and coordinate activities during shifts.
    Quickly identify and troubleshoot operational issues and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain power generation.
    Respond to alarms and notifications from monitoring systems, identifying the cause and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues promptly.
    Ensure that the power plant complies with all relevant regulations, permits, and environmental standards, and maintain accurate records related to compliance.
    Generate regular shift reports summarizing the plant’s operational status, significant events, equipment conditions, and any incidents that occurred during the shift.
    Train and mentor control room operators, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of plant processes and control systems. Keep operators up-to-date with the latest procedures and technologies.
    Oversee the calibration of control room instruments and sensors to ensure accurate data collection and control.
    In some cases, manage remote operations and monitoring of the plant, which may involve supervising unmanned facilities or distributed power generation assets.
    Implement strategies to maximize energy efficiency and optimize the use of resources, such as fuel and water, to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
    Ensure a smooth transition between shifts by providing detailed briefings to the incoming shift personnel, including any ongoing issues, maintenance requirements, or changes in operation.
