    Job Description

    Design and Development:

    Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for various projects.
    Design electrical systems and control panels, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
    Select appropriate electrical components, such as sensors, relays, circuit breakers, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
    Project Management:

    Plan and manage electrical aspects of projects from conception to completion.
    Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure timely and within-budget project execution.
    Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
    Installation and Commissioning:

    Supervise the installation of electrical systems and equipment on-site.
    Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper functioning.
    Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation or commissioning.
    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC).
    Perform quality assurance checks and audits to maintain high standards of workmanship.
    Develop and maintain documentation, including test reports, compliance certificates, and as-built drawings.
    Maintenance and Support:

    Develop and implement maintenance schedules for electrical systems and equipment.
    Provide technical support and training to maintenance teams and end-users.
    Address and resolve any electrical faults or breakdowns promptly.
    Control Systems and Automation:

    Design and program control systems, including PLCs, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
    Integrate control systems with other process equipment and ensure seamless operation.
    Optimize control processes for efficiency, reliability, and safety.
    Safety and Risk Management:

    Identify and mitigate electrical hazards and risks in the workplace.
    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement safety protocols.
    Conduct safety audits and electrical risk assessments.
    Continuous Improvement:

    Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and technology.
    Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve electrical systems and processes.
    Lead initiatives for energy efficiency and sustainability in electrical design and operations.
    Specific Responsibilities for Different Sectors

    Projects/Turnkey Contracting Companies

    Manage electrical aspects of large-scale projects, ensuring integration with other engineering disciplines.
    Oversee subcontractors and suppliers for electrical components and services.
    Ensure the timely delivery and installation of electrical systems in line with project milestones.

    Control Process Panel Manufacturers

    Design and manufacture custom control panels for various applications.
    Ensure control panels meet client specifications and industry standards.
    Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) to verify panel performance.

    Heating Oven/Heating Chamber Manufacturers

    Design electrical heating elements, control circuits, and safety systems for ovens and chambers.
    Ensure precise temperature control and uniform heat distribution in heating equipment.
    Collaborate with thermal engineers to optimize heating performance and energy efficiency.

    Process Industry

    Develop and maintain electrical systems for process plants, including power distribution and control systems.
    Ensure reliable operation of process equipment through robust electrical design and maintenance.
    Implement automation and control solutions to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
