Job Description
Design tools, molds, jigs, and fixtures using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Collaborate with other engineering and production teams to understand tooling requirements.
Ensure that tool designs meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-effective.
Select appropriate materials for tooling based on factors such as durability, wear resistance, and cost.
Evaluate material properties and compatibility with manufacturing processes.
Establish and implement preventive maintenance programs for tools and molds.
Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and tear, damage, or other issues that may affect tool performance.
