Profile – Instrumentation Engineer (Metal Power Plant)
Qualification – B.Tech- E&I, EC, EEE
Salary – Upto 7 LAC ( including food + accommodation)
Experience – Min. 7+yrs. as a Instrumentation Engineer in Power Plant.
Location – Sesa (Goa)
Role & responsibilities
Inspect, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation devices, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors, as well as analyzers and control valves.
Ensure the proper functioning of distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other control systems.
Diagnose and rectify faults in instrumentation and control systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring the continuity of power plant operations.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for instrumentation and control equipment.
Respond to emergency situations involving control system failures or malfunctions to restore normal plant operations quickly.
Calibrate and tune control loops to maintain precise control over critical variables, such as pressure, temperature, and flow rates.
Oversee data acquisition systems to collect, analyze, and report data from various plant processes, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements.
Ensure that safety instrumentation and control systems, such as emergency shutdown systems, flame detectors, and gas leak detection systems, are functioning correctly to protect personnel and assets.
Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, calibration, and equipment condition.
Generate reports on the performance of instrumentation and control systems.
Plan and implement upgrades and modifications to instrumentation and control systems to enhance efficiency and safety.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for the procurement and maintenance of instrumentation and control components and systems.
Conduct testing and validation of new instrumentation and control systems or components before their integration into the plant.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, such as those related to environmental monitoring and emissions control.
Train and supervise maintenance technicians and staff in proper instrumentation and control system maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Stay updated with advancements in instrumentation and control technology to implement best practices and optimize plant operations.
