Job Description
Casting Process Operation – Operate and monitor melting furnaces, die casting machines, or sand casting equipment. Ensure proper pouring, molding, and solidification processes.Adjust machine settings for optimal performance.Prepare and position molds and cores for casting.
Inspect molds for defects and ensure proper coating application.
Handle sand or permanent mold processes as required.Assist in metal melting and pouring operations, ensuring correct temperature and composition.
Follow safety procedures to prevent spills and burns.
Use ladles or automatic pouring machines efficiently.isually inspect castings for defects such as porosity, cracks, or misruns.
Measure and check dimensions using gauges and instruments.
Report defects and assist in corrective actions.Perform routine checks on machines, furnaces, and casting equipment.
Clean and maintain workstations and machinery.
Assist in troubleshooting operational issues.
