Profile – Production Planning Engineer (Metal Power Plant)
Qualification – B.Tech- Mechanical
Salary – Upto 6 LAC ( including food + accommodation)
Experience – Min. 5+yrs. as a Production Planning Engineer in Power Plant.
Location – Sesa (Goa)
Role & responsibilities
Develop production schedules for various power generation units, taking into account factors like demand, maintenance, and fuel availability.
Continuously monitor and adjust the operation of power generation units to maximize efficiency and output, while minimizing fuel consumption and emissions.
Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet production goals and schedules efficiently.
Coordinate and manage load distribution and power generation across different units
to match grid demand and maintain grid stability.
Work closely with maintenance teams to schedule and plan maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions to power generation.
Manage fuel inventory, procurement, and consumption, optimizing fuel usage and minimizing waste.
Ensure that the power plant operates within environmental regulations and emissions standards, taking actions to reduce emissions when necessary.
Analyze data from various sensors and monitoring systems to make informed decisions about power generation and operational efficiency.
Develop contingency plans and procedures for handling unexpected events or emergencies that could impact power generation.
Control production costs by optimizing resource usage, reducing waste, and implementing cost-saving measures.
Monitor and maintain quality control measures to ensure that power generation meets required standards and specifications.
Ensure that all production activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and protect the well-being of employees and the environment.
Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), production efficiency, and safety records, for management and regulatory purposes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhanced equipment performance, and energy efficiency initiatives to increase the overall efficiency of power generation.
Stay updated on technological advancements in power generation and recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Work closely with other departments, including maintenance, engineering, and management, to ensure seamless operation and communication within the power plant.
