Profile – Sr. Stone Manufacturer / Gemstone Cutter – Jewelry Industry
Qualification – Diploma or certification in Gemology /Lapidary Arts
Experience – Min 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the jewelry manufacturing industry, specifically in stone manufacturing and setting. Strong knowledge of diamonds and colored stones – including shapes, cuts, and grades.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Manufacturer to join our team in the jewelry manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and polishing precious and semi-precious stones to be used in a variety of fine jewelry pieces. Precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of gemstones are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cut, shape, and polish gemstones using hand tools or machinery according to design specifications.
• Evaluate raw stones for quality, clarity, and size.
• Perform lapidary work including faceting, cabbing, and carving.
• Inspect finished stones for flaws and ensure they meet industry and brand standards.
• Collaborate with designers and production teams to understand gemstone requirements.
• Maintain and clean cutting and polishing equipment regularly.
• Document stone manufacturing processes and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure all safety and quality protocols are followed during manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of gemstones (hardness, refractive index, cleavage, etc.).
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with stone manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of jewelry production workflow is a plus.
