Overview
Senior Electrician
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Electrician to handle electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair activities in an automobile products manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and plant utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in machines and equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, motors, switches, and control systems.
- Monitor electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations and machinery.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and control panels.
- Assist in electrical installation and modification projects.
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance and breakdown activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and company standards.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and take corrective action.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules and continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and machinery.
- Knowledge of motors, control panels, PLCs, sensors, relays, and electrical circuits.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure during machine breakdowns.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to safety and technical detail.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical qualification.
- Relevant experience as an Electrician in an automobile/manufacturing industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance will be preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical tools, testing equipment, and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
